DESCRIPTION:This two-day course returns for 2026 with a new programme and line-up of speakers. The course aims to inspire and prepare researchers embarking on careers in translational and experimental medicine. \nThis course will introduce pioneering approaches across research methods\, including neuroimaging\, non-invasive brain stimulation\, psychopharmacology\, digital therapeutics\, genetics\, sleep\, and big data. It will also cover a range of practical essentials – from the fundamentals of study design\, incorporating participant and patient perspectives\, embedding open science and industry perspectives. DESCRIPTION:Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs) are a group of complex mental health disorders that are characterised by the uncontrollable urge to pull\, pick\, scratch\, cut or bite one’s own skin\, hair or nails. These behaviours are not simply bad habits\, they are often chronic\, difficult to control and associated with high levels of emotional distress.  They can have profound impact on everyday life\, including work\, education\, relationships and general social functioning. \n\nBFRB Con 2026 will bring together clinicians\, researchers and people with lived experience to support knowledge exchange\, professional development and community-building around Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs). SUMMARY:Psychedelic Therapy - mechanisms\, promises and challenges
DESCRIPTION:As evidence grows for psychedelic therapy across conditions such as depression\, addiction and disordered eating\, a new question emerges: how do we responsibly integrate these treatments into existing healthcare frameworks? \nIn this talk\, Dr David Erritzoe will begin with an overview of the field – from psychological and neurobiological role of psychedelics as catalysts of flexibility in “stuck” brain networks\, to key findings from recent clinical trials. He will then turn to the practical realists of implementation\, exploring what healthcare systems can do now to prepare for the coming wave of psychedelic therapies.
