SUMMARY:Brain vulnerability for psychosis: from mechanisms to real-world outcomes
DESCRIPTION:New approaches bridging genes\, proteins\, cells\, and whole-brain networks are transforming our understanding of brain function in health and disease. This talk will present recent work from our lab using multimodal brain imaging and experimental medicine approaches to investigate the biological mechanisms of psychosis vulnerability\, aiming to inform early intervention strategies and integrate findings with large-scale neuroimaging and clinical data. \n  \nMore information and booking.

SUMMARY:NIHR Grants - New funding requirements on inclusion- training session
DESCRIPTION:From autumn 2024\, applicants for all NIHR domestic programme awards will be required to demonstrate how inclusion is being built into the research lifecycle and costed for.  \nThis includes\, but is not limited to\, the research question and design\, the participants recruited\, the research methods\, data collection\, analysis and dissemination of findings. \nTo fulfil NIHR’s mission to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research\, the NIHR will be changing to ensure that research inclusion is properly costed and executed. \nThe NIHR will be delivering training sessions on the new requirements. The sessions are aimed at researchers and research support staff. \nThis 1-hour session will be jointly delivered by the NIHR Research Inclusion team and the NIHR Research Support Service (RSS). \nThe session is aimed at researchers and research support staff and will include: \n\nAn overview of the new conditions of funding for domestic programme awards\nPractical and actionable advice on how to meet the requirements and meaningfully embed inclusion in all stages of the research lifecycle\n\nRegistration required on the link : Wednesday 16 October 2024 from 2pm – 3pm. Register for the 16 October event. \n NIHR infrastructure and global health awards will come on stream from 2025 onwards.
