SUMMARY:NIHR Bio Resource Scientific Conference 2024
DESCRIPTION:The NIHR BioResource Scientific Conference takes place on Wednesday 19 June 2024\, from 9:30am to 12:30pm. \nThis online  event is free to attend and showcases a range of research made possible using NIHR BioResource infrastructure and access to samples\, data and volunteer recall. \nWe will showcase a variety of cutting-edge academic and industry-led translational research  across a range of disease areas\, including the role our infrastructure plays in accessing data\, samples and participant recall by genotype and/or phenotype. \nOur esteemed lineup of speakers includes: \n\nDr. Clare Palmer – IESO Health: Engagement and acceptability of digital anxiety programs\nChristina Stankey – The Francis Crick Institute: Genetic associations and disease mechanisms in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)\nDr. Paul Lyons – University of Cambridge: Chronic inflammation\, disrupted iron homeostasis\, stress erythropoiesis and ‘long’ COVID\nDr. Christian Selinger – Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust: Family planning in IBD patients\nDr. Luiza Campos – University College London: Integrating genetic and deep phenotype data to better understand inborn errors of immunity\n\nJoin us to learn how the NIHR BioResource can support your experimental medicine research or early phase clinical trial and take your research from bench to bedside.
