DESCRIPTION:This two-day course returns for 2026 with a new programme and line-up of speakers. The course aims to inspire and prepare researchers embarking on careers in translational and experimental medicine. \nThis course will introduce pioneering approaches across research methods\, including neuroimaging\, non-invasive brain stimulation\, psychopharmacology\, digital therapeutics\, genetics\, sleep\, and big data. It will also cover a range of practical essentials – from the fundamentals of study design\, incorporating participant and patient perspectives\, embedding open science and industry perspectives. However\, they present new challenges for evaluation\, implementation and commercialisation\, with decisions often needing to be made before conventional evidence is fully established. \nThis workshop will explore how early health technology assessment (HTA)\, economic evaluation and commercial considerations can be integrated to support the successful translation of digital health innovations into clinical practice.
