SUMMARY:Warneford Park – Preview planning consultation exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Oxford and partner invite you to the upcoming pre-planning public consultation sessions for Warneford Park.  \nAs you may know the Warneford Hospital is the oldest inpatient unit still in use across the NHS. Although no longer fit for purpose\, staff continue to provide compassionate care in this Grade II listed building that hasn’t changed much from when it was built 200 years ago \nIn partnership with the University of Oxford and partners\, we want to develop a major brain health research and innovation campus. This will comprise: \n\na new state-of-the-art mental health hospital\, offering the best treatment\, care\, and therapeutic environment.\na modern scientific facility for the world-leading brain research taking place at the University of Oxford\, with additional space for biotech\, pharmaceutical and start-up companies.\na new post-graduate college for the University of Oxford focused on medical sciences\, bio-engineering and related disciplines.\n\nThis consultation aims to gather valuable insights and feedback\, on the proposed redevelopment of the Warneford Hospital site. It is an important part of our pre-planning application process\, inviting participation from local stakeholders\, community representatives\, businesses\, service providers\, staff\, patients and agencies with an interest in the future of this hospital and its surrounding site. We would like to work together\, to explore relevant issues and guiding principles for the redevelopment. \nThe drop-in exhibition sessions will provide an opportunity to: \n\nExplore informative displays and visual material which will provide background context and considerations for future development\nMeet members of the project team and engage in discussions with subject matter specialists\nShare your thoughts\, concerns and ideas for the future of Warneford Park\n\nA team led by Eric Parry Architects has been appointed to take forward and create a masterplan for this site. We are keen to work with you at this early stage to help identify key issues and explore appropriate solutions in a collaborative way. \nYou are welcome to drop into any of the consultation exhibition sessions. If you have any questions\, please contact the Warneford Project Team on warnefordpark@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk.

SUMMARY:"Ask the Expert" about the latest research into anxiety - hosted by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR)
DESCRIPTION:The public are invited to a webinar to ask questions of a leading specialist about the latest research into anxiety. \nProfessor Thalia Eley will take questions in a live ‘ask the expert’ event hosted by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). \nIt takes place online on Wednesday 5 June from 7pm to 8pm (GMT). \nThalia is Professor of Developmental Behavioural Genetics at the Institute of Psychiatry\, Psychology and Neuroscience\, King’s College London\, and co-lead of the Genetic Links to Anxiety and Depression (GLAD) Study. \nShe also runs the EDIT lab\, a group of researchers focusing on what factors may influence why people respond differently to life’s experiences. Specifically\, she is interested in exploring which psychological treatments work best for different individuals and whether their genetics may play a part in how people respond. \nGuests must sign up in advance using the event registration form\, where they can enter their question for the expert. They will also be able to ask their question during the event in the text box provided. \nThose unable to attend can provide their email address using the form so they can be sent a link to a recording of the event. \nThe event is hosted by the NIHR\, a Department of Health and Social Care-funded organisation that works to improve the health and wealth of the nation through research. \nIt will be hosted on video conferencing service Zoom\, which can be accessed through a computer browser or the Zoom app for devices. \nFor queries\, contact researchsupport.crngm@nihr.ac.uk
