DESCRIPTION:These online workshops offer an introduction to the updates in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and the UK Clinical Trial Regulations (The Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) (Amendment) Regulations 2025). DESCRIPTION:The NIHR GOSH BRC is a collaboration between Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. The session will be online. \nAn Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) is a way to identify the possible impacts of a research project or decision. Researchers can use this tool to understand the effects of their work on trial participants or members of the research team\, based on their protected characteristics\, and mitigate potential negative impacts and promote positive ones. \nCompleting an EIA helps ensure that research processes are fair and do not present barriers to participation. It is a great way for researchers to embed equality\, diversity and inclusion through all stages of their projects\, be it research design\, engagement or participant selection. \nIn this talk\, Stephanie will explain why EIAs are important\, how to use them and how you can apply them to your research to demonstrate how you have considered inclusion. DESCRIPTION:This fully-funded retreat is specifically aimed at supporting you to get a paper from a recent PhD or fellowship written up for publication. \nIt’s designed to create a supportive and focused environment for writing\, with the majority of the schedule being dedicated to writing time\, with timetabled breaks and publication tips from senior colleagues. In addition\, there will be informal opportunities for feedback and discussion of your work which can be helpful to the writing process.
