A new resource has been created for research participants who will have an MRI scan as part of their study.
Two informative videos have been created as part of the Wellcome Centre Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN) Inclusive Research Project, funded by the OH BRC Brain Technologies theme and the BRC Directors fund, to help researchers recruit participants to MRI studies and to ease any anxieties of potential participants around having the scan.
The first video, “What to Expect from and MRI Scan” details the step-by-step process of what it’s like to have an MRI scan when participating in a research study.
In the second video, “Why take part in an MRI research scan?”, previous participants share their experiences and provide reassuring insights into what the process is like.
The videos are available to view on the University of Oxford’s Wellcome Centre Integrative Neuroimaging (WIN) webpage.
