The Mental Health Research Delivery Team are delighted to offer the exciting position of Research Assistant in the Ketamine and Interventional Psychiatry Service (IPS) based at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract to deliver a research project which is funded by the Mental Health Mission / National Institute for Health Research. The project utilises Artificial Intelligence to generate a personalised self-esteem enhancing script which is administered to patients shortly after they receive a ketamine infusion for depression. The main outcomes of the study are feasibility and pilot data which will be used to power a randomised controlled trial.
Your role will involve supporting research activities including undertaking informed consent, liaising with patients and relatives about the study, clinical interviewing and administering self-esteem intervention as stipulated in study protocol treatment. You’ll also also be responsible for contributing to the creation of a database for the service.
