Count Me In is an Oxford Health initiative that gives patients the choice to hear about research opportunities they may be eligible for, so they can decide whether or not to take part.
Count Me In is designed to be simple and flexible, putting choice firmly in the hands of patients.
If Count Me In is available in your service, a member of staff may explain the initiative and tell you where to find more information. If you are interested, your preference about being contacted for research can be recorded securely in the Trust’s electronic patient record system.
Being contacted does not mean you have to take part in research. It simply means you are open to hearing more. Each research study is explained separately, and you can say yes or no every time.
You can also choose not to be contacted at all. This decision will be recorded and can be changed later if you wish.
Clear information, including frequently asked questions, leaflets and a short animation, is available online to help you decide what feels right for you.
