Come along to our Health Research Showcase at the Westgate Centre on Thursday 29 May from 10am to learn about the broad range of healthcare research taking place in Oxford and how it translates into real benefits for NHS patients.
The annual event, formerly known as the Joint Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Open Day, offers the opportunity to visit over 30 interactive stands showcasing incredible research including the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease, cancer, dementia, bipolar disorder, endometriosis and many other conditions.
You will have the opportunity to try out diagnostic equipment including microscopes and ultrasound machines, play educational games and find out about clinical studies you could volunteer for.
You will also be able to speak with clinical researchers from Oxford and Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centres (BRC), Oxford University Hospitals, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Oxford about their research and careers.
Leiden Square can be found on the ground floor of the Westgate Shopping Centre, Oxford.
Information from last year’s event to give you an idea of what to expect on the day can be found on the Oxford Health BRC News page.

The Health Research Showcase is jointly organised by the NIHR Oxford BRC and NIHR Oxford Health BRC. We bring together the research expertise of the University of Oxford and the clinical skills of staff at Oxford’s two NHS Trusts, with the aim of supporting research and innovation to improve physical and mental healthcare.
This is a public event; no registration is required. Please contact our event manager on the day Sophie Ray for further information. See you there!
