Dr Hannah Slevin
In the video below, Dr Hannah Slevin, ST6 in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Manchester shares her experience of starting her research career.
Dr Slevin completed an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship which allowed her to take up to 25% of her clinical training time for research.
Dr Slevin speaks about her research into the prevalence of autism and ADHD in young people who have had cancer and the impact of these conditions on mental health and educational outcomes. She also offers advice for aspiring researchers.

Harry shares how he worked on a psychosis relapse prediction tool within an Early Intervention in Psychosis team.

In this video, Dr Claire Davidson-Jamieson, Research Associate at the University of Glasgow shares her experience working in child and adolescent mental health services in Ayrshire and Arran. Dr Davidson-Jamieson speaks about her research into understanding the social relationship and communication styles of autistic children and children who experience maltreatment.
Currently, Dr Davidson-Jamieson is investigating the feasibility of a digital tool to holistically support neurodevelopmental assessment.
