Staff are encouraged to learn more about a career in research through The Shape the Future campaign launched this month by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The Shape the Future campaign provides career development and training resources for those new to research and researchers looking to develop their career
The campaign celebrates the work and impact of the NHS research workforce. It encourages researchers to learn more about research, explore research careers and how to add research to their practice, learning and development within their career. The campaign also aims to encourage non-research staff and healthcare students to consider a career in research and for those working in research to develop their practice.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Chief Medical Officer Dr Karl Marlowe said:
“OHFT research is an essential strength of our NHS trust and can be translated early to improve our patient care and outcomes. Now is an opportune and exciting time for all our staff to consider expanding their career in research at the trust, especially if you have never considered it as part of your career plan. Oxford as a place, represents a well-funded strategic research centre for the country with many avenues to explore, which includes funding that can be applied for with a large network of support through local and national strategic research partnerships.”
