Oxford Academic paper writing retreat for nurses and AHPs

Wednesday 17 May at 9:00 am - Friday 19 May at 5:00 pm

  • « University of Oxford 7th Course on Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
  • University of Oxford 8th Course in Network Meta Analysis »

This three-day Academic Paper Writing Retreat is sponsored by the Oxford Health Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), Oxford cognitive health Clinical Research Facility (CRF), and the Oxford Institute for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OXINMAHR).

It is open to all nurse, AHP and healthcare researchers at any career stage, working at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, OXINMAHR or Oxford Brookes University who have a paper to write up for submission to an academic journal and need time and space to focus on this without interruption.

We ask that delegates who attend commit to the full three days (£50 deposit required to a secure place*), and that you come with a clear writing goal and a specific material outcome that you wish to achieve. It is an expectation that all attendees will have submitted their chosen paper(s) to an academic journal within eight weeks of the retreat.

The event will take place in the JHB Building Headington Campus, Oxford Brookes University, where attendees will join a community of writers in a supportive shared space. There will be an opportunity to meet with a pre-assigned mentor during and after the retreat, and attend tutorials on day one and two, led by a professional creative writer from The Royal Literary Fund.
