Oxford | Berlin Autumn School on Open and Responsible Research

We are excited to announce applications are open for the Oxford | Berlin Autumn School on Open and Responsible Research, a transformative five-day event aimed at fostering open, transparent, and reproducible research practices. Organized by the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) QUEST Centre for Responsible Research in collaboration with Oxford University, this summer school offers a unique opportunity to explore novel approaches and tools for enhancing open research practices. 

Who Should Attend: 

The autumn school is aimed primarily for advanced doctoral candidates and recent PhD recipients. Researchers working in disciplines traditionally underrepresented in open research practices, individuals from historically excluded groups, and those with non-traditional career paths are warmly encouraged to apply. 

Why Attend: 

– Gain insights into biases in research and explore ideas for creating reproducible research pipelines. 

– Dive into meta-research, responsible research, and leadership for open research practices. 

– Engage in interactive workshops tailored to your research interests and projects. 

– Connect with global experts and researchers to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing. 

Registration & Application: 

Applications are now open! Apply here and briefly state your motivation and describe a potential project where you will apply the knowledge gained from the autumn school.

Apply by 31 May 

Cost & Travel Stipends: 

The course is free to attend. Limited travel stipends are available for participants who require financial assistance to attend. Additionally, Oxford University will offer a limited number of stipends to staff and students to attend – indicate on your application if you wish to be considered.
