Patient and public involvement in research workshop: PPI and digital health
Friday 31 January 2020 at 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
FreeThis is one of a series of patient and public involvement workshops we are running for patients and members of the public. Places are free but limited and you must register to attend.
About this workshop
There is increasing attention on the potential to improve people’s health through digital technologies and the vast amounts of data being collected in health and care organisations. There is also consensus that involving patients and members of the public in discussions about how best to use these technologies and data is crucial to success.
This workshop will provide a brief overview of four areas: patient data; digital health; health services data; artificial intelligence (AI) in health and care.
The workshop will be led by Dr Andy Gibson, Associate Professor in Patient and Public Involvement, University of the West of England, and John Kellas, Innovation and Community Engagement Consultant, Bristol Health Partners.
