Trich: a solo show

Monday 12 October at 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
£15

Please join Professor Clare Mackay at Amey Theatre Abingdon on Monday 12 October at 7pm for some public engagement with a difference

TRICH is a solo show, over 75 minutes with no interval, centred around mental health. Find out what happens when we stop pretending everything is fine and start letting people in.

TRICH was the top selling play at the 2021 United Solo Theatre Festival in NYC and continues to be performed regionally across the USA and has become an advocacy tool at mental health conferences for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs). The play offers a meaningful entry point for awareness, connection and destigmatisation.  A valuable tool for empathy, education and conversation.

Who is the play for?

  • Students and Young adults
  • Healthcare professionals, teachers and parents
  • Anyone who struggles with their mental health or knows someone who does
  • Anyone who has experienced shame or isolation

Professor Mackay says: ‘Trich is a show about living with a highly stigmatised mental health condition. Becca is an amazing story-teller and the play is enriching, enlightening and highly entertaining’.
