OH BRC’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team are pleased to share the launch of the OH BRC Research Inclusion Hub, an online collection of resources designed to support researchers in embedding inclusive practices across the research cycle.
Evidence from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) INCLUDE project shows that under-served groups are often excluded from clinical research, leading to health inequalities and reduced relevance of findings across diverse populations.
Inclusive research is necessary to reduce health inequalities, enhance scientific validity and improve outcomes for all.
The Research Inclusion Hub provides:
- Guidance and tools from NIHR, UK Research and Innovation, Wellcome, and other leading research organisations
- Examples of best practice from across our BRC
- Inclusivity training and development opportunities for researchers
- Resources tailored to protected characteristics, including ethnicity and age, and socio-economic factors, including income and education level.
Whether designing a study, applying for funding, or engaging with communities, the OH BRC Research Inclusion Hub offers practical support to help you do so inclusively.
