Solving the Crisis in Mental Health Services: Global Solutions Across the Life Span

Professor Helen Minnis, Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow and Mental Health Mission Children and Young People’s Mental Health workstream co-lead will be presenting at an upcoming event on mental health.

The international mental health conference will be held in the Sir Charles Wilson Building, 1 University Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8NN and provides an opportunity for mental health researchers to come together and share research.

The annual conference, now in its 5th year, is organised by the Centre for Developmental Adversity and Resilience (CeDAR) team and the University of Glasgow.

Conference presentation titles and speakers:

  • Innovating for Autism in India: Dr Gauri Divan, Director of the Child Development Group, Sangath, India
  • Innovations for adolescent and youth mental health: Case studies from India: Dr Pattie Gonsalves, Project Director, Mental Health Research, Sangath, India
  • Experts by Experience Debate: Lea Milligan, CEO MQ Mental Health
  • Scaling up mental health support through building partnerships: Professor Helen Minnis, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and Dr Ruchika Gajwani– Senior Research Fellow in Clinical Psychology, both University of Glasgow
  • Together We Heal: Unravelling the mechanisms of group support psychotherapy: Dr Ethel Nakimuli-Mpungu, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Makerere University Kampala, Uganda

There is a delegate fee of £90 or £70 for students.
