Public engagement with research is a range of ways of engaging members of the public with the design, conduct, and dissemination of research. The goal of public engagement is to generate mutual benefit by enhancing the quality and socio-economic impact of research. Public engagement is a two-way process that enables change and has mutual benefit. High-quality engagement enhances the impact of research.Oxford Health BRC works with Partners and Community Groups to facilitate public engagement with research including:
Older Adults Group
Within the Dementia Theme, our PPI Advisory Group actively involves patients, carers and members of the public in the development and operation of the Brain Health Clinic, as well as in all aspects of dementia research at Oxford Health BRC.
The group meets four times a year, and members contribute to additional projects in line with their available time and interests.
