The NIHR Team Science Camp and Award aims to bring together researchers with an interest in multiple long term conditions (MLTC) from a variety of disciplines and with a wide range of experiences to tackle complex current and emerging health and care challenges.
At the Team Science Camp, attendees will be coached in the ethos of Team Science and supported to develop multi-disciplinary teams, who will then be eligible to apply for an award to provide funding and support for the team to develop further funding applications.
The Team Science approach enables a positive research culture which recognises the contribution of every member of the research team equally. The success of Team Science will be dependent on engagement with and inclusion of people from a variety of backgrounds, career stages and disciplines.
The first Team Science competition welcomes applications from individuals interested in improving the lives of people with MLTC through research.
Expressions of interest to attend the MLTC Team Science camp will be invited in June 2023.
The event will take place at De Vere Cranage Estate in Crewe, and will run from 11:00 on Tuesday 26th September to 13:30 on Thursday 28th September.
