OH BRC Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead Professor Kamaldeep Bhui recently published an op-ed piece on talking about and tackling racism in mental health care for the publication Eastern Eye, from the Asian Media Group, described as the UK’s number 1 Asian newspaper.
In the piece Professor Bhui talks about historical scientific racism, NHS leadership commitments to anti-racism strategies, and racism in mental health care as well as recent papers published looking at identifying some explanations for why and how racism persists in inpatient mental health.
