Shanta will lead discussion of Emotion in public involvement: A conceptual overview (Liabo et al. 2024) .
This review examines the role of emotion in public involvement. To explore emotion as an integral concept within public involvement, it draws on relevant literature and own experience from being involved in, and facilitating public involvement in, health and care research.
It concludes with practical recommendations on how to make research meetings feel safe and appropriate for people who have an emotional connection to the research topic.
