- Your doctor (either your GP, or your psychiatrist) can refer you to the clinic if you are experiencing mood instability and have, or might have, bipolar disorder and are interested in participating in research. We may ask them some questions to check that the referral is suitable.
- We will contact you before your appointment to add you to True Colours, our mood monitoring system, where you will regularly rate your mood via text or email.
- When you first come to the Clinic, you will be carefully assessed by our team of expert psychiatrists and research nursing staff. Following the assessment, we will discuss your diagnosis and possible treatment options.
- If appropriate, you will be offered an opportunity for research participation, with ongoing management and treatment from the Clinic. Alternatively, we will recommend follow up either with your GP or with other services within Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.
- The Clinic is dedicated to research into better treatments for mood disorder. We can only see people who are willing and able to participate in research. You will be recruited in to research studies only with your full and informed consent, and you can withdraw your consent at any stage.
